NeonHD, 8 hours agolaughing loudly. you’re kidding, right? Did you not see the edges of smartphones before 2018? To get a phone with … moreexactly. Samsung was one of the best smartphone designs at the time. Looking at something like the S8/S8+, they were one of the best looking phones ever. Compared to what the competition was releasing at the time, there is no comparison in design.

For a phone without a notch or hole, the top/bottom edges of the A9 are already thin enough. If you want examples of phones with “unnecessary 20% larger than required” edges, go with the latest iPhone SE or Xperia XZ1. A9 is anything but that.

If anything, the A9 is a good example of how the top/bottom edges of a smartphone have gotten thinner over time, from the thicker edges of the iPhone 6 to the thinner edges of the Galaxy S8/S9.
From 70% screen-to-body ratio to more than 80%.

Yes, at the time, I was really disappointed to see the camera develop so poorly even though this was the most marketable feature…

A year later, Vivo stepped in with the X30 Pro’s two proximity sensors. Xiaomi may have done it earlier with the Mi Note 10, but the second telephoto sensor cannot work on its own. Vivo can.

Don’t compare 16MP vs 5MP. Need to downsize
16 to 5 before comparison. That is why their tool has this option.

Changing the size to a lower resolution hides noise and artifacts.

Why do you think Nokia 808 changes its size from 38 MP to 5? It’s not binning as gsma always says wrong

She was competing with the leading ships of that time without a race

They were kicked out of second place by Huawei twice… Xiaomi kicked them out of second place.. They are more like second / third. Samsung is number 1

Anonymous, 22 hours agoExactly wrong. right Well, since all modern phones have large screens and triple or quad cameras, the orientation is set correctly. It’s not a Samsung issue that you can’t keep up with time and still live in the past.

That’s why HTC did it years ago.

Spider243, 23 hours agoBut after only the dual camera appeared on the iPhone and then the quadruple camera copied and made, it was not surprising … moreThe world’s first dual camera smartphone is the Huawei P9 that was introduced in 2016, followed by the P20 Pro with the world’s first triple camera setup. Samsung tried to emulate Huawei’s success by introducing the world’s first quad-camera setup. But the camera system was not able to compete with Huawei due to Samsung’s lackluster imaging technology.
