Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.13 is now available, adding three new cars and track layout

Teased on social media, Polyphony Digital has now revealed its latest update for Gran Turismo 7. This free content drop is referred to as the April Update, which indicates that we’ll be getting a few new bits and pieces each month for what’s to come. Anyway, the update is available from today, April 25, with the game ported to version 1.13 – let’s take a look at what it includes.

First and foremost, the update adds three new cars to the mix. These are the Subaru BRZ GT300 ’21, Subaru BRZ S ’21, and Suzuki Cappuccino (EA11R) ’91. You can watch both cars in action in the video above. You’ll also see the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps – this update adds 24-hour track planning. Finally, two landscapes will be added to its featured section: Gassho-style homes at Ainokura and Cherry Blossoms at night.

However, patch 1.13 not only introduces this new content. It’s part of a larger game update that brings more changes to GT7, including tweaks to the Sports Mode, improvements to car physics, and plenty of bug fixes. The update comes with a size of 2.6 GB on PS5 and 4.6 GB on PS4.

Here are the full patch notes:

1. Auto
The following three new cars have been added:
・ Subaru BRZ GT300 ’21 (can be purchased at Brand Central 😉
・ Subaru BRZ S ’21 (can be purchased at Brand Central 😉
・Suzuki Cappuccino (EA11R) ’91 (Can be purchased from April 26 at your used car dealership.)

2. Tracks
– Spa-Francorchamps 24 hour chart added.

3. Global circles
– The following three events have been added at Spa-Francorchamps:
・European Cup Sunday 500
・Japanese Club Cup 550
・ World Touring Car 800

4. Skips
– “Jasu-style houses in Ainokura” and “Cherry blossoms at night” have been added to the featured section of Scapes;
– Slideshow option added to auto show.

Other improvements and modifications

1. Title screen
– “News topic” is now displayed in the center of the screen.

2. Used Car Agency
– A “New” sticker is now displayed for new cars available for purchase on that day;
The ’91 Suzuki Cappuccino (EA11R) will be released on April 26 as the ‘HOT’ car.

3. Legend Car Dealership
– A “New Stock” sticker is now displayed for new cars available for purchase on that day.

4. Garage
– “Widebody” is now displayed on all cars in your garage that have been modified with a wide body;
– The engine start sound is now played when changing cars.

5. Racing screen
– For races with time limits, move the remaining time display to the middle of the screen and adjust the layout.

6. Rival Cars (AI)
– Modification of the driving line of competing cars at the Nürburgring.

7. Sports
– It is now possible to enter some events by renting cars designated for the event, or by using garage cars;
– Videos are now playing before the Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup finals.
– The following information is now displayed in the event screen displayed before each race:
・ Tire wear rate
・Fuel consumption rate

・ Required tires (only displayed when set)
・ Stop Required (Only displayed when set)
– Race Etiquette video now plays when first entering Sport mode. This video provides important driving recommendations for racing competitions;
– “Race Details” screen has been added. The following information can be checked from the “Race Details” icon on the right of the race entry screen.

8. Car Body Editor
– Added “Default Sticker Color” in “Editor Settings”. White or the most recently used color can now be selected, and by selecting the most recently used color the most recently used color will be selected.

9. Replay
– Added option to filter by genre or artist when selecting a music playback song;
– For new replays, it is now possible to fast-forward to the next cycle.

10. Car Settings
– Fixed an issue where the settings sheet name would disappear;
– Fixed a Performance Points (PP) issue that could occur due to a power-restrictor modification;
– Fixed an issue where Performance Points (PP) would not be added correctly if certain settings or operations were performed. (Performance scores may not be calculated correctly under certain conditions, such as adding high-grip tires to some cars.)

11. Vehicle behavior
– Algorithm of suspension geometry calculations has been modified. This has improved traction for rear-wheel drive cars and reduced feedback on weight transfer;
– The relationship between the controller inputs (analog stick, R2 button, accelerator pedal on the steering wheel console) and throttle position has been modified.
– analog stick steering speed adjustment;
– Force response has been modified in the following steering wheel controllers:
・ Fanatec® . platform
・ Fanatec® GT DD Pro
・Fanatec® GT DD Pro + BoostKit

Brake pressure control has been adjusted for all four brakes when entering a corner. As a result, the braking distance is generally reduced;

12. Settings (Console Settings)
– Trigger impact strength can now be adjusted from the quick menu displayed during the race or from [Settings] > [Controller Settings] in the pause menu. “1P trigger effect (accelerator)” and “1P trigger effect (brake)” can be set to “off”, “weak” or “strong”;
– Changed the upper limit of “Console Steering Speed ​​Correction” from 7 to 10 inches [Settings] > [Controller Settings] > [Controller Steering Sensitivity] In the quick race menu, and the pause menu.

13. Settings (Volume)
– The following 8 audio options can now be set from [Settings] > [Sound Volume] In the quick race menu and pause menu:

14. GT Auto
– Fixed an issue where an oil change could be done on a car that didn’t require one.

15. Cars
– Several issues with the following four cars have been fixed:
・ Honda Fit Hybrid ’14: Vehicle body color will not be applied to some parts on the underside;
・ Jeep Willys MB ’45: No interior paint will be applied when set;
・ Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition (FK8) ’20: Decal graphic will become distorted when decal is added from [Custom Parts] > [Front] > [Type A] in the bodywork editor;
・Ferrari 458 Italia ’09: The number label will appear distorted when added to a vehicle with a wide body modification.

16. Other
Many other issues have been addressed.
