iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13
iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 are available in six colors, four of which are new colors. While the color options of the previous standard iPhone lineup tend to be bolder and brighter, this year Apple chose to offer a more muted color palette.
The six available iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 colors are:
- product (red)
The only color carried straight away from last year’s iPhone 12 lineup is bright (PRODUCT) red, but the other five colors are all new shades, even if some are similar to last year. Apple is partnering with (PRODUCT) RED to deliver a stunning red iPhone 13, a portion of which will go to the Global COVID-19 Response Fund, which provides support to health care systems and maintains HIV and AIDS programs in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Starlight replaces last year’s White option, which features silver aluminum bezels. The Starlight is similar to last year’s white option, but is now a distinctly warmer shade that’s almost pearly or creamy in color. The silver trim now has a hint of gold to match the new, warmer look. The starlight is effectively the same as the iPhone 13 Pro’s gorgeous silver tone, except for the less prominent matte aluminum bezels and a warm, almost champagne hue.
The Midnight iPhone 13 should not be confused with previous devices in black, space gray or graphite which is a new color. Midnight replaces black as the darkest color option in the lineup, but differs from black in that it has a slight hint of dark blue.
While there was a shade of blue previously in the iPhone 12 lineup, iPhone 13’s Blue is lighter and warmer with a touch of turquoise. A pale pink, resembling the lightness of candy, replaces the purple.
While Apple did not initially carry green from its iPhone 12 lineup, in March 2022 Apple added a new green color option for the iPhone 13. It’s much darker than the green offered with the iPhone 12.
iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are available in five colors, all different from those available with iPhone 13 models.
The five available iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max colors are:
- He went
- Sierra Blue
- green alps
Graphite, gold, and silver were all made available with the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max last year, and Sierra Blue was the only new option initially. Sierra Blue replaces last year’s Pacific Blue, being lighter and brighter, closer to a baby blue shade.
It should be noted that the silver color of the iPhone 13 Pro refers only to the edges of the device. The back of the Silver iPhone 13 Pro is white in color. Moreover, the graphite color appears, in fact, similar to Space Gray from previous generations.
In March 2022, Apple added a new Alpine Green color option for the iPhone 13 Pro. The last time Apple offered a green color option for its Pro line of iPhones was Midnight Green with the iPhone 11 Pro, but that was a shade darker compared to Alpine Green.
How do you decide the color
If you’re using an iPhone with a case, you may want to consider the color of the device that will best complement your case. Maybe you prefer more neutral tones like Midnight or Starlight on iPhone 13, or Graphite or Silver on iPhone 13 Pro, then use a more colorful case.
Likewise, Starlight, Midnight, Silver, and Graphite may age better over time as new devices are released because they are more neutral, almost monochromatic shades. If you don’t use a case, you may want to take advantage of a more attractive color option such as blue or gold.
If you want iPhone in a new color, Starlight, Midnight, Blue, Pink, Sierra Blue, and Alpine Green are the best choices. Pink, Sierra blue, and green in particular are likely to be the noticeably new colors and most likely to indicate that you have the latest generation of hardware.
Your choice of colors may also depend on how often you upgrade your iPhone. If you upgrade every year, you may be more confident in buying a stunning new color, but if you’ve kept your “iPhone” for many years, it might be wise to consider a color you previously enjoyed if it’s still available.
Customers who use multiple Apple devices may also want an iPhone color that complements their other devices. For example, if you already have a Space Gray MacBook Pro, it would be better if it came with the Graphite iPhone 13 Pro. Likewise, if you have a silver-tone stainless steel Apple Watch, it will match the Silver iPhone 13 Pro, and the pink 24-inch iMac will go best with the PRODUCT (RED) iPhone 13.
