The Fisher Price game console has been transformed into a real gamepad

An Xbox enthusiast and exotic console enthusiast is turning his Fisher-Price video game console into a real, working Xbox gamepad.

The X-Box The console is one of the most popular consoles on the market, and its consoles have become equally popular in the gaming scene. However, a variety of other consoles are also available for purchase, some more functional than others. Recently, a dedicated gaming enthusiast took a Fisher-Price game console and turned it into a real gamepad – in other words, the game became a functional Xbox console.

The game in question appears to be the Fisher-Price Love & Learn Games and Learning console, which was designed to introduce children to the wonders of gaming. In its default state, the console does not work, but it has a large round surface that is easy for little hands to hold. It also features an assortment of colorful buttons, bumpers, and joysticks that make noise and light up.

Twitter users’ rudeness, whose bio describes him as a creator of weird consoles, recently set out to turn this Fisher-Price game into a functional Xbox console. This isn’t the first time gamers and official engineers alike have created exotic Xbox consoles, but it might be one of the cleanest custom rebuilds on the internet. On several Twitter threads, Shameless explores some of the changes he made to the console and shows them from multiple different angles.

In the post announcing the project’s end, Shameless notes that the Fisher-Price console is still making the same set of noises it was originally making. Moreover, he claims that the only external difference between the original console and the modified version is the presence of a USB port on top. Presumably, he added this so that the console could either charge, connect to the game console, or set up PC games properly. When asked how a game console could do everything a real console could, he explained the new control scheme.

Apparently, the yellow slider determines whether the controller’s single joystick will act as a left stick or a right stick. It also changes whether the buttons act as a default button setting or handle the Start / Select / Guide entry. Finally, the fenders can be tilted left and right like regular fenders, so they can handle left and right trigger inputs as well as left and right fender inputs. The result is a surprisingly efficient gamepad, although gamers who prioritize performance would be better off sticking with the Xbox commercial console model.
