Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 5 and Xiaomi Smart TV 5A India launched on April 27: everything to expect at the Xiaomi Next event

Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 5 and Xiaomi Smart TV 5A will be launched in India on Wednesday, April 27th. There may be other surprises as well, but as far as we know, this is the confirmed list of products that will debut at Xiaomi The “next” event is scheduled to kick off at 12 noon. Xiaomi is holding an event on the grounds, but you can also watch a live broadcast from your comfort zone, if that’s your preference. The Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 5 will be relatively well known considering that both devices have been around for some time in some markets in China and Europe. Not much information is available about the Xiaomi Smart TV 5A at this point, except for the details that Xiaomi itself has raised. We’re probably looking forward to a budget display with some interesting specs on the horizon, as is usually the case with these smart TVs. Xiaomi 12 Pro expected specs and features

Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 6.73-inch LTPO E5 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz (touch sampling of 480 Hz) and a brightness of 1500 nits. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Victus Glass.

Under the hood, the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. The package packs a 4600mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. There is support for 10W reverse wireless charging as well.

For photography, you get three cameras on the back – a 50MP main sensor (Sony IMX 707) behind the f/1.9 aperture lens with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide angle with a 115-degree field of view, and another 50MP selfie behind the f lens / 1.9. The phone has a 32MP front camera.

The price of the Xiaomi 12 Pro in China starts at CNY 4,699 (about Rs 56,200).

Xiaomi Pad 5 Expected Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi Pad 5 has an 11-inch 2.5K LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The panel supports 10-bit color depth and TrueTone to automatically adjust the color temperature basis for ambient lighting. Dolby Vision and HDR10 playback are supported. The tablet also has a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos.

The Pad 5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chip paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The software is MIUI 12.5.

Rounding out the package is an 8720mAh battery with 33W fast charging. You also get a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera in this tablet.

The price of the Pad 5 in China starts at 1999 yuan (about 23,000 rupees).

Xiaomi Smart TV 5A Expects Specifications and Features

The Mi TV 5A will be a follow-up to the Mi TV 4A range of smart TVs that includes models such as the Mi TV 4A 40 Horizon Edition. It’s not immediately clear if there will be multiple models although the wording suggests that only one product could be in the future, at the time of writing. Xiaomi is not sharing screen sizes yet. There is also no mention of a Horizon version.

Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition is available in 32, 40 and 43 inch screen sizes. They all come with 1080p panels with 178-degree viewing angles. Pricing starts at Rs 16,499 for the 32-inch Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition. Mi TV 5A is also expected to be aggressively priced, judging by the nature of these TVs and Xiaomi’s track record.
